VOLUNTEERING ISN’T FREE
International Volunteer Day will be celebrated on Saturday 5th December. International Volunteer Day (IVD) was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1985. IVD is now celebrated worldwide with thousands of volunteers involved in a range of IVD initiatives in their communities.

Bankstown’s Pressure Cooks 2009 are Hot and Spicy
Bankstown’s Pressure Cooks winning team have been named, after an exciting and close contest on the weekend. The family team known as Hot and Spicy, made up of Sue Sun and Robert Huang took out top honours in the grand final cook-off, with their Thai salmon dish.
